User Centred Design Approach to Developing an App

At the moment I am currently undertaking some user research based on a very basic method (questionnaires), Now without giving away too much detail on a public space, the details of the app will not be disclosed at the moment.  So there are two types of people, less call them the X type and Y type. So an X type has a relationship with a Y type where by the X type has an authoritative role in order to help Y type accomplish a particular goal.  The aim of the app is to build something that will be highly beneficial to the Y type as an assistant to X type knowledge when X is not there in person. However the app should also require input from the X type and provide them with useful statistics/knowledge based on Y’s activities. I have created separate questionnaires for both types, however at the moment I have accumulated a larger volume of results from the X’s than the Y’s. I was hoping it would be the other way round, so I’m going to have to find ways of further promoting and pushing the Y’s to complete. I have tried social media and e-mails with the Y’s and only e-mails with the X’s and so far the responses have been better via e-mail requests than social media requests.   Once I have determined the first iteration’s worth of requirements from both set of results, I will build a prototype and request...
